wasn't sure which category to put this one in...

.. the picture just kind of happened. Mixed up some really nice yellow and before I knew it, there were three cylinders that evolved into these scrolls. So where did they come from????

Painted in watercolour on standard acid-free watercolour paper.

Beautiful use of colour. Lovely image. Well done. Three cheers for you, your talent and your pretty composition... there's just one tiny little problem... I'm just not sure about the 'abstract' label. It may have been produced from your imagination, but it's still fairly representational. I mean, those are scrolls tied with rope, with some ink and a brush, right? It seems pretty realistic to me. Excellently, wonderfully, perfectly lovely and all that. Just realistic. Fantastic stuff, at any rate. Best of luck.

The only other category I thought it could go in was 'Still Life'... but that didn't seem right because these scrolls don't exist in life... only in the imagination. ANy suggestions for another category?

I think you might be stuck with 'Miscellaneous.' Looking through the options, I can see why you didn't go for still life... I guess abstract is sorta better than Miscellaneous. There should be a catagory like 'representational' for the stuff you create outta your head that looks like it's drawn from life. Anyway you catagorize it, your work still rocks, so no worries there. :)

I notice that you don't have an avatar at the moment... if you wanted to commission one, you could always try ~Solpyro who is an absolute whizz with Flash.
